When are the tours?
Come on a journey to the top every day (except Christmas and Boxing Day). See Google for opening hours. You can arrive whenever you like or you can pre-book for specific times. You can self-guide and take it as fast or slow as you want. Remember, that last entry is half an hour before closing. There are staff at the top and bottom who are full of wonderful information or if you need any assistance.
How much is a tour?
Express tour
Adults at children’s prices, $10.00 per person
Do I need to pre-book?
Pre-book online or you can pay with cash or card on arrival.
How can I pay?
You can pre-book online by card and we accept cash or card at the door. We don’t accept Afterpay.
Where can I Park?
Park at the Step Beach car park on the corner of Lighthouse Road and Federal Street or Inlet Crescent.
Disabled parking ONLY at the end of Federal St adjacent to the lighthouse.
Buses larger than 12 seats, and caravans, must drop off either at Inlet Cres, or the corner of Eagle Rock Parade & Phillips St & walk up. Larger buses must park on the Great Ocean Road.
Parking inspectors are out regularly, please only park where it is clearly signed that it is permitted!
Can children come in?
Children must be 5 years and over to enter and should be able to climb the stairs
An adult must accompany all children under age 10.
Infants can be carried in a baby sling or backpack.
How fit do I need to be to climb the lighthouse?
A moderate level of fitness is required. There are four landings to rest and enjoy information as you climb.
Appropriate footwear must be worn. Sandals without heel straps and high heels are not safe
Due to telecommunication equipment housed in the lighthouse, we do not recommend access for people with pacemakers or similar medical technology.
Not recommended for participants who suffer vertigo or claustrophobia or who use a wheelchair.
Can I book a school or private tour?
Private access for weddings, proposals & functions are available.

How long will a tour take?
A self-guided tour can be as quick as 10 minutes or as long as you like.
A pre-paid Guided Tour is either 30 or 45 minutes.
Can I take photos?
Yes, photography is permitted – please note it is a no drone zone!
Can I cancel a tour and get a refund?
Yes, up to 24 hours before your tour time. Please contact our office at tours@ecologic.net.au
